"Like a good plant in prime conditions, the Laramie Local Community (LOCO) Market has grown quickly.
Even before the first Laramie Local Community Market set up in Undine Park Thursday, the number of vendors had gone from an initially anticipated 20 to roughly 30, market organizer Celeste Havener said.
“I have 50 signed up and I have a waiting list now, so 60 people are interested (in becoming vendors),” she said. “We wanted these first two weeks to just kind of get a feel for how it was going to lay out. Technically, we have more space but we want to expand carefully. I don’t want the ground to be toast or anything.”

A little bit of rain never hurt anybody and a little bit of rain certainly did not dampen the spirit of patrons at the firstLaramie Local Community Farmers Market on Thursday afternoon. The Laramie LOCO Market will be at Undine Park every Thursday from 3-7 p.m. through Sept. 27.

"Starting June 14, Laramie residents will have an opportunity to shop locally at the new farmers’ market — the Laramie Community Local Market (LOCO).
Organized by an association of local vendors, the market is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. Thursdays in Undine Park.
Rising fees for vendors participating in the Laramie Downtown Farmer’s Market was one of the reasons to start a new market, Erika Babbitt-Rogers, a Laramie vendor and a member of the LOCO association of vendors, said."
