Market News For the 28th

June 26, 2012 at 12:40 PM

Thursday brings the third LoCo market!  Thank you for your great support and positive feedback.  We are beginning to see more produce and fruit at the market.  There will be great brats, free range chicken, and tasty lamb for the grill this weekend.  Or if you prefer, there is plenty of salad fixings.  Each week brings a few more vendors as we try to get situated at the park. So bear with us as we settle into the market in the park. We will be missing Bryce, Mr. Paella this week as well as Amy of Gardensweet.  But Popes will be bringing more produce as well as Shelia Bird and C&R will have cherries, apricots and maybe some peaches.

This week we will host the first of our musicians; the Rat Trappers.  The Laramie Astronomy Club will be on hand as well with telescopes for children (and adventurous  adults) to look at the sun.  Will you see sunspots or solar flares?  Come down and find out.

We will have a number of non-profits this week too.  The Laramie Soup Kitchen will be at market with free water.  Feeding Laramie Valley will also be present.  They will both gladly accept any excess your garden may be producing.   And you wondered what to do with all that rhubarb!

There will be plenty of art, and even more services.  Don’t forget to stop by the information booth for a ticket for the weekly raffle basket full of products from some of the vendors.  We should have the handicap ramp in place on the corner of 7th and Ord to make access to the market even better.

See you there!
