Wyoming Farmers Market Assoc. Conference

Some of the Laramie LoCo Market Vendors will be attending the Wyoming Farmers Market Assoc. Conference on Friday march 8th and Saturday March 9th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie. Market News - Aug 30th 2012

This time of year is one of my favorites for market, you still have some of the 'summer produce; strawberries, melons and fresh greens but you also get the fall veggies creeping in; potatoes, apples, winter squash and of course, fresh roasted green chills. We will have all these and more at market Thursday.

August 2nd, Laramie Loco Market News

This weeks market will be corny! We welcome three new vendors; Jars of Sunshine (local jams and jelly), Woods Sweet Corn, and Papardelles Pasta. That should make the market fabulous! Popes will be bring tasty cantelope and corn as well as beet and other vegetables, Shelia Bird will have their beautiful produces, Styria will have a full line of breads and sticky buns and Robin will have her famous Krautburgers. And if you haven't tried the paella, well your life is simply not complete!

This week's market will be a fruit salad lover's paradise. Berries, Peaches, melons and apricots will be at the market ready for you. Or for veggie lovers look for just about every type of vegetable that grows in our area; tomatoes, green beans, cukes, and great herbs. Match these with some free range chicken (Wind Dance Ranch), Steaks (Hecht Creek) or Brats or Lamb (Wag's) and you will have a dinner that celebrates Laramie. Throw in a pie from Robin's sweets or bread from Styria and smile.

Thanks to everyone who donated to the Red Cross and the firefighters last week. Both groups were amazed at Laramie’s generosity. This week looks to be hopping at the market. Nan, the pasta woman, will be there and the produce and fruit vendors will be in full swing! The paella guy will be back this week and look for amazing tamales, burritos and great BBQ as well.

It's Market Day!

It's Market Day!! Thank you for your great support and positive feedback over the last few weeks. A Special Note: We will be collecting Donated items for the firefighters and evacuees of the Squirrel Creek Fire this week, items such as bottled water, chap stick, baby wipes and simple non-perishable food items and snack items like granola bars etc are much appreciated. Donated items can be dropped off at the market information table.

Market News For the 28th

Thursday brings the third LoCo market! Thank you for your great support and positive feedback. We are beginning to see more produce and fruit at the market. There will be great brats, free range chicken, and tasty lamb for the grill this weekend. Or if you prefer, there is plenty of salad fixings. Each week brings a few more vendors as we try to get situated at the park. So bear with us as we settle into the market in the park. We will be missing Bryce, Mr. Paella this week as well as Amy of Gardensweet. But Popes will be bringing more produce as well as Shelia Bird and C&R will have cherries, apricots and maybe some peaches...

Weekly Market News

Thank you to everyone who turned out to make our first market such a success! The vendors enjoyed seeing familiar faces and watching people stroll at a leisurely pace along the green. This week promises even more! Produce will be at market this week with the arrival of Shelia Bird and Popes Farms. With a little luck C&R will have both cherries and apricots too. Gardensweet will have berries again. Along with meats and desserts we will welcome Fred with Noosa Yogurt to the market. If you haven't tried Australian yogurt stop by, you will be in for a treat!

Even before the first Laramie Local Community Market set up in Undine Park Thursday, the number of vendors had gone from an initially anticipated 20 to roughly 30, market organizer Celeste Havener said."

A little bit of rain never hurt anybody and a little bit of rain certainly did not dampen the spirit of patrons at the first Laramie Local Community Farmers Market on Thursday afternoon. The Laramie LOCO Market will be at Undine Park every Thursday from 3-7 p.m. through Sept. 27.
